Privacy policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
This policy explains how DailyAbhyas handles your information. It covers the DailyAbhyas app for Android and iPhone, and this website, dailyabhyas.com.
The short version
- The app keeps your practice history on your phone. It does not send it to us or to anyone else.
- The app has no account, advertising, analytics or tracking.
- This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics. Like every website host, our hosting provider sees your IP address when you open a page.
- If you email us, we use your email only to reply to you.
- Before we add sign-in, we will update this policy and tell you in the app.
1. Who we are
DailyAbhyas is published by Sidhant Sinha, an individual developer in India. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Sidhant Sinha as the publisher of DailyAbhyas. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the data fiduciary for the personal data described here.
For privacy questions, requests and complaints, write to support@dailyabhyas.com. Sidhant Sinha handles these messages personally.
2. What the app keeps on your phone
The app stores the following in a private database on your phone:
- your settings: app language, daily practice target, the preparation stage if you chose one, and your reminder days and time;
- your practice: the sprints you started, the answers you chose, the questions you marked for review, your scores, and your revision list with its review dates.
The app does not send this data anywhere. We cannot see it, and we cannot recover it for you if it is lost.
Phone backups. If you have turned on backup on your phone (for example Google backup on Android or iCloud Backup on iPhone), your phone may include the app's data in your personal backup so that it can be restored on a new phone. These backups are kept in your Google or Apple account under their privacy policies. We cannot access them.
3. Permissions the app asks for
- Notifications, only if you turn on the daily reminder. Reminders are scheduled on your phone, and their text never includes your scores or progress. You can turn them off in the app or in your phone's settings.
- Run at startup (Android). This lets the app set your reminders again after your phone restarts. Android grants it without asking.
- Vibration (Android). This lets a reminder vibrate your phone, depending on your notification settings. Android grants it without asking.
The app does not ask for your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files. The Android app does not even have permission to use the internet.
4. What we receive
From the app
Nothing. The app does not send your personal data to us or to any third party. It contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking code.
From app stores
When you download DailyAbhyas, Google Play or the Apple App Store handle that under their own privacy policies. They give us summary statistics, such as the number of installs, and crash reports from people who have allowed their phone to share them. These do not tell us who you are.
When you email us
We receive your email address, the name shown with it and what you write. We use this only to reply to you and to keep a record of what we agreed.
Emails to our dailyabhyas.com address are forwarded by Cloudflare's email routing service to our Gmail inbox, so Google stores them for us, possibly outside India. We reply from Gmail.
5. This website
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking. It loads no fonts, scripts or images from other websites.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.). To deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data about each visit on our behalf, such as your IP address and the page you asked for, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy. Cloudflare may process this data outside India, mainly in the United States and the European Economic Area.
If Cloudflare suspects automated or abusive traffic, it may show a security check and set a cookie that is needed for that check. We do not use any of this data to identify visitors, and we keep no visit logs of our own.
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising. Apart from the service providers described above (Cloudflare for this website and for forwarding email, and Google for our email inbox), we disclose personal data only when Indian law requires it, for example in response to a lawful request from a government authority.
7. How long data is kept
- On your phone: until you delete it. To delete your sprints, answers and revision list, go to Settings, then Privacy and data, then Delete practice data on this device. Uninstalling the app removes all of its data from your phone.
- Emails: as long as we need them to deal with your message, then we delete them.
- Website visits: Cloudflare keeps request data for as long as it needs it to run and protect its service, under its privacy policy (section 5). We keep no visit logs of our own.
8. Security
The app keeps your data in its private storage on your phone, which other apps cannot read. A screen lock on your phone protects it further. This website is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections.
If a personal data breach ever affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
9. Children
DailyAbhyas is meant for adults preparing for SSC CGL. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, for example by email, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Your rights
Your practice data on your phone is in your control: you can delete it at any time, as described in section 7.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it, nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to, and raise a complaint with us. Write to support@dailyabhyas.com. We will reply within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
11. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. We plan to let you sign in with your phone number or Google account and keep your progress across phones. Before any feature like that collects personal data, we will update this policy to say exactly what is collected and why, and tell you in the app before you use it.
